Analyzing Data with DAX for Power BI
in Data Analytics with Microsoft Power BIAbout this course
This course is designed to provide participants with a
comprehensive understanding of Data Analytics using DAX for Power BI. The course will cover a range of topics, including
time intelligence calculations, creating tables using table functions, creating
date tables, and mastering DAX concepts such as Evaluation Context, Filter
Context, and Row Context.
The course will begin by introducing the basic concepts of
DAX and how it can be used to perform complex analysis and computations in
Power BI. Participants will learn how to create calculations such as running
totals, year-over-year growth, month-over-month growth, and prior period
analysis using DAX.
The course will then cover table functions such as VALUES,
DISTINCT, FILTER, and ADDCOLUMNS. Participants will learn how to create tables
using these functions and how to manipulate data using DAX.
Participants will also learn how to create Date Tables using
the CALENDAR and CALENDARAUTO functions. The course will cover how to use Date
Tables to perform time intelligence calculations and how to create
relationships between tables using DAX.
The course will then focus on mastering DAX concepts such as
Evaluation Context, Filter Context, and Row Context. Participants will learn
how to use these concepts to create powerful calculations and data models in
Power BI.
Finally, the course will cover how to perform HR Analytics
using DAX. Participants will learn how to use DAX to analyze HR data and create
HR dashboards in Power BI.
